Know More About Migraine Pain Stages

Migraine is a throbbing pain in the head whose intensity can be moderate to severe.Recent studies show that female are more prominent to be suffering from migraine pain. This type of pain can generally occur on one side of the head and last upto 2 to 72 hours varying upon person to person triggering reason. Migraine pain occurs in four phases which had been stated as follows-

Prodrome(Pre Monitory Stage): Females of age 18-45 are likely to be suffering from this phase. As this is very common to happen with symptoms like tiredness, depression, excess yawning, craving for foods, and feeling more thirsty they are the warning signs of a migraine attack.
Aura-Pre Migraine Stage- This phase is not much common as only 20% person of people will be noticing this aura with migraine pain. It occurs just before the migraine headache which can last from 5 to 60 minutes. In this stage, you can witness neurological disorder like a feeling of numbness, zig-zag lines, temporary blindness. Ability to speak and hear is also affected. Sufferers also noticed that get more prone to flashy lights and loud music. The best remedy to decrease the intensity of pain is to stay in the dark and a quiet room.
Headache(The main migraine stage)-This is the main attack stage of migraine where sufferers felt unbearable head pain lasting 2 hours to a few days. Sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, vomiting and anxiety can be explored on one or both side of the head is the primary symptoms of this stage.
Postdrome(Final Stage)- In this stage of migraine, extreme fatigue is noticed after the severe head pain. Any movements in the head can cause more pain which can be only cured by proper rest and avoid the cause it is being triggered by.
There is no proper cure or treatment for migraine, but its intensity can be reduced. One can consult to doctor before taking any pain-killers and should avoid the trigger factors like emotional stress, food habits, over-consumption of caffeine and alcohol. For the best result, one should change their daily lifestyle schedule which should have proper exercise schedule, proper food habits, stress management, sleeping on time and involving some therapies.
